Kilims

The art of weaving is as old as the Egyptian history.

With the development of weaving, the nomadic shepherds used wool to make kilims which provided an easily portable covering for the floor of their tents. Over the centuries kilim weaving developed into an art.

We at HADDAD CARPETS we still believe that this art is a message that has to be passed from one generation to another.

Our kilims are woven by hand using woolen weft worked on wool or cotton warp. Every flat woven kilim we produce, with its pattern, design and color resembles a collection of messages, beliefs and symbols. As well as being one of the most indispensable interior decoration goods, a kilim has long been a precious gift item.
